We are a multi-disciplinary studio creating climate-resilient, healthy, inclusive, urban spaces for all, through meticulous urban planning, research and design.
Cities and other urban areas contribute 70% of our global CO2 emissions. Therefore, in our globally escalating climate crisis, urban development must be climate resilient and sustainable in every sense of the word. At UrbAnatomy Lab, we approach cities as living labs, wherein sustainable design and planning solutions are proposed through thorough research, testing and data-analysis, to facilitate maximum viability - like any true scientific experiment. Sustainable City Strategies (SCS) were developed for the city of Bhopal, one of five pilot cities under the SCIAP project. The Strategies infuse sustainability strategies into city-level urban planning and management. They also aim to spur investments in green infrastructure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve service-delivery, and enhance the quality of living for all citizens. In doing so, the Sustainable City Strategies build resiliency and strengthen the governance capacity of cities.
